Description
This is not an uncommon airplane, but apparently a very uncommon paint color - very Army green. Usually this plane is silver, and a real nice one can easily sell for $250. This one is not real nice. C6 is probably about right. But SCARCITY compels me to start this listing at $200.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or out of bounds! I just don't know enough about this airplane and have been unable to find comps. A fellow collector and dealer assured me of its rarity, and I trust his judgement and knowledge.
This is a BIG airplane. Wingspan is 27", and nose to tail is 22".
But back to condition...The Good News is it has all the props and main (wooden) landing wheels. Bad News -- one of the props is a replacement and not correct, and it is missing the nose landing gear. It must have broken off in a rough landing years ago.
Good News - The paint is a good 80-90% and the decals are pretty good. Bad News -- the fuselage is a little loose and there is surface rust on the left wing tip, as well as a few other places. And of course, plenty of scratches. This toy was played with.
She's certainly not perfect, but in any condition, I think this one is a rare find!!
