Description
Steelcraft zeppelins are not that uncommon, but usually it's the Goodyear, Graf Zeppeilin, or Akron versions you find. This MACON zeppelin is much more scarce. It is also the only one that was painted white (aside from custom models), the best I can determine.
This Macon Zeppelin has good points...and some not so good.
The Bad: Has a sizable dent on the top left...almost looks like a kid hit it with a hammer. Ouch. Also, it appears that a clear varnish was applied to the entire toy at some time. It does give it a shine and a warm glow, so it's not all that bad. I don't know if the varnish can be removed. Leave that to the new owner. This toy also has some missing paint, scratches, and the tip fin has a crack and is pretty beat up. This toy was played with...a lot.
The Good: Toy is complete, with original wheels, good Macon decals, and the top star decal. Despite the paint loss, it still retains over 75% of it's paint (under the varnish!)
This is a rare opportunity to own a VERY RARE toy!
